Sens. Schumer and Hutchison have offered the Bridge amendment. The amendment has been withdrawn but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is permanently withdrawn. According to www.shusterman.com It has a chanse to pass in September, just after the summer recess.
I believe all our efforts should be concentraited on this legislation!
Core Team, we badly need your advise, how can we help, what should we do in order to lobby this ammendment? It might be difficult because the majority of Schedule A professionals are still outside the US..... There in US we have only our lawers, who seems to me are not willing or can help us.

I doubt how effective a letter campaign would be.
We did letter campaign's couple of times and it didn't bring any coverage or change.
I still believe a clock (backward or distorted) is a good idea.
I agree that calculator /flower campaign can fail. But poster (actually pamphlet) and letter campaign will cost only 41 cents stamp from us.

I am sure every company would have their own 'stuck in gc process' alias.
Please start an IV fund drive, so that you can do this on a company basis.

Folks - there is going to be some changes in the strategy here. I have discussed this issue with IV core and we will update the new strategy soon, until then you may continue to send the letters.

My 485 had soft LUD on 2/27/09. Although, my husband's dependent application dint have one.
My PD is May'06 EB2 -I and got a soft lud on 2/27/09 for me/wifey case.
This makes me think that, USCIS is probably pulling all the cases systematically based on PD.

I understand your frustration. Since there is no spillover in the first quarter of new fiscal year, it was expected that PD would move back. How can you you expect 2006 PD for Oct when there is no spillover visa numbers.
Next year Jul-Sep 2009, PD should move to mid 2006 again.
My 2 cents.

If the girl is working and earning money, she has all the rights to spend the way she wants, including giving money to her parents. If she is not working, then help should be based only on humanitarian basis because we never know when one's financial situation changes. I can't understand how any girl can force her husband to spend for her parents and siblings especially when she is not earning.

3) we do not need internecine fights, that digress's from our mission.
