My married daughter from India currently on visitor visa has been here to visit us. Would like to seek extension of her visa by 4-5 months so that she can spend little more time with us. All her immediate family members are in USA and with extended approved stay she can visit all family members and spend more time with old parents. She has 10-year visa given to her in December 2008 when she came for the first time after this visa. Her husband and children are in India.

Hi All,
I just called USCIS using the POJ method to check on my I485 status which is current for June (EB2 India PD is 3/20/04).
IO said a visa needs to be ordered for the file and it will be done in the next quarter i.e, July 08.She also said the file will not be assigned to the IO unless the visa is ordered??
Does this mean that all the visas for EB2 have been used for this quarter? Also, not sure why the file wont be worked on until the visa is ordered...which contradicts the pre-adjudication theory.

If anyone of you here in SAP, Oracle apps, JDE...this might be useful. I have APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) books all four volumes in very good condition. I have cleared the exam today and putting it for sale. If you need please send me private message. I will donate 10% to IV. I am listing it here as there are lot of guys in IT and working in ERP.

My Lawyer also suggested that we apply Porting PD after the second I 140 gets approved instead of doing it at the time of applying for second I 140.

This is such an open ended question. It will be very easy to answer if you can add few lines about your background, affordability and qualification(like GRE etc). If not the school names will be all over the place from MIT to the ABC University....as the word "Good School" is very subjective.

Most of us are aware that USCIS, taking a positive measure towards not losing EB visa numbers, set Jun 1, 2006 as PD of India/China for Aug and possibly Sep 2008. This is entirely based on approvable I485 applications processed upto Jul 8, 2008 (except some numbers are available for Counsler Processing of I485).
Recent trends indicates direct HARD LUD, a CRIS mail for "Card Production". So it seems that in coming two months no guessing for EB2 because soft LUDs will be rare.

Only during I 140 USCIS will ask for Exp letter whatever you showed in PERM. I think your previous exp should be related to your new job role.

I found some information that I believe could be beneficial in knowing the status of the pending I-140 case (also for I-485)
This is called TSC Streamline procedure and a url link is given below.
Based on that, AILA attorneys can send an email notice about the pending I-140 info. It seems like the application should have been filed prior to the processing date that shows up for I-140 for TSC. It looks like there is no 30 day window imposed as in the case of Service Requests.
This email is supposed to inform USCIS about our pending I-140!

I had contributed $1000 towards my FSA dependent care account in 2010.
Now, in order to claim this amount, both husband and wife should be working, this is not the case with me, as my wife was not able to find a job in 2010.
Will this amount be reimbursed to me by the FSA management company ? as my son went to a preschool, and i paid the school fees every month.
